Newborn - FAQ’s

Congratulations on your little one! I am sure you have tons of questions!!

I have organized a few of the most common questions here, but I would love to schedule a Free Consultation where I can go over my process, pricing, and any questions you may have. This is the best way to get a complete view of what it looks like to work with me, so you can make an informed decision!

• When do I book my newborn session?

  The perfect time to contact me is when you are 20-22 weeks pregnant. Each session is uniquely designed for your home and sometimes may require that I purchase handmade items which can take 6-8 weeks to be made. At this time, we will reserve your session based on your estimated due date.

• What is a Pre-Session Consultation?

  Building trust between you and me is a crucial part of the pre-session consultation! And is a perfect time for you to ask any questions about my training and skill level. During the consultation, we will also review pictures of your nursery and family room to select the perfect colors and style to complement your home. I can also help you visualize sizes and arrangements in your home. After the consultation, you will have a good idea of what you want to purchase from your newborn session and can even add items to your registry for baby showers.

• When/Where is the session held?

  Upon delivery of your baby, please contact me to schedule your session, as their newborn pictures need to be done within the first 7-14 days. My goal is to truly capture the newborn details, from their tiny toes to their perfect skin, in those adorable squishy baby poses we all know and love. As your baby gets closer to the one-month mark they are more alert and it becomes difficult and at times unsafe to do certain poses. Newborn sessions take place at my in-home studio in Conway, AR which is equipped with snacks, bottled water, and of course a comfy couch and Netflix (if you need to take a nap).

• How Long will the session last?

  Your newborn sessions can take up to 2-3 hours. We allow plenty of time for feeding and soothing the baby. Sibling and family photos are taken first to ensure we capture them at their best.

• How soon will I get to see my pictures?

  Ordering appointments are scheduled 7-14 days after your session. I recommend you invite your loved ones to the ordering appointment, as they enjoy being involved in the process and can be very helpful when trying to decide which pictures you want to display in your home and newborn album. Once your order is placed, products take approximately a week to be delivered to you.
