What to wear to maternity photoshoot?

With so many babies coming in July, I have been pretty busy shooting maternity sessions. The main question I get is, What do I wear? For some reason, the tendency is to wear white. Not exactly sure why white is the go to, but it's not ideal. White reflects light, and because of this its very difficult to show off that baby bump. Careful posing can make it work, but if you must wear white be sure to wear a shaw of some kind to break up all the white (I will include an example as soon as I get done editing my most recent session).Suggestions on what to wear-Tight fitting top or dress is ideal - this helps to show off that bump and hug your curvesThink about your undergarments - be sure you don't wear something that will give you panty lines or add bulk to your outfitSolid colors are ideal, but don't be afraid of a little pattern (just nothing to big or distracting)TEXTURE is your friend (This helps to combat the undergarment statement above)Empire waist or a belt (highlights your little waist and accentuates the bump)2 Outfits (minimum) - dress option and a more casual optionWhat to bring to a maternity session-Quilt (possibly one with sentimental value- that you don't mind sitting on)Significant baby items (Example: blanket, book, stuffed animal, shoes, onesie) I hope this is helpful as you prepare for your maternity session!conway-ar-maternity-photograher-Easley-Life-Photography-quilt-Old-Mill-floppy-hat_web
