What to expect: Newborn Photography Edition

Mentally preparing for a newborn session might leave you with a huge question mark. You have literally never done this before and have no idea what is going to happen. Usually, the client’s biggest stress point is, what if the baby doesn’t sleep? Which I can tell you is the exception, not the rule! When my clients follow the session prep guide, and the little one gets in my cozy warm studio all swaddled up, they fall fast asleep!

The first step in working with Easley Life Photography is, the Pre-session consultation! This allows me to go over my process & pricing, help us both understand if we are a good fit, and answer any questions you may have! I have been a newborn photographer for over 7 years and when you do a consultation with me you will see the difference. I have a very well-organized workflow that will help put your mind at ease.

Session day!! All my clients get my session prep guide, these are tips to help ensure a sleepy baby for the session. When my you arrive the entire studio is set up based on the colors and props you chose during the consultation. This means we get to jump right into photographing your little one and not waste a moment. The goal is for you to be able to sit back and relax as I swaddle, pose, and photograph your little one. Typically the session last about 2 hours! I encourage my clients to be on time because my sessions are baby-led and it will be the baby telling us when the session is over. Like clockwork, the wake window starts around 11 am, and that’s when we call the session a wrap!

Reveal & Ordering Appointment! About 7-14 days after your session we will meet via Zoom for your Reveal & Ordering Appointment. This is the moment to bring out the tissues as you enjoy a slideshow of all the beautiful images from your session. During this appointment, I help clients with designing the album, choosing how to arrange photos on their wall, as well as creating. the perfect birth announcement. This step is the key to actually enjoying the images from the session for years to come. My clients appreciate my professional help with choosing favorites for things like the album or birth announcements as they often love all the pictures and narrowing down favorites can be the hardest part.
